A bit hard to find the place. Food was good but a bit expensive for what they serve.
Cam Cunningham
Rice dishes much better than the yakitori offerings.

One of good Toriyaki restuarant. All menus are good and delicious but foreigner staffs are not good enough. They have been try to avoid receiving order from foreigner customer, also often complained about how they foreigner customer order foods. They love to serve only Japanese customer. Better not hire them, your Japanese staff is good enough to work with foreigner customers.

Wonderful Yakitori and Kamameshi! My first time here and will try to go back every time I'm in Tokyo.

One of the best yakitori I've had to date.

Ordered the kamameshi rice with abalone toppings, very bland other than the crispy texture. Yakitori chicken was great but otherwise okay only. Nothing outstanding.

Crowded little place. Food is tasty but they took too long to come out of the kitchen. They forgot some of our orders too. Ordered around 10 skewers and that took us about 1.5 hours to finish the meal, of which 80% of the time we were waiting...

Torigin Ginza has been operating for almost 70 years. This is a simple restaurant located in a narrow alley of high end Ginza area where you can enjoy great Japanese barbecue. The food is good, reasonable price and fast and efficient service. If you prefer izakaya kind of restaurant, this restaurant suits you well. You can drink and have good food in authentic Japanese environment. Ordering shouldn't be a problem since they have menu in English. Their yakitori is the best and I like the tender and flavourful taste of their grilled chicken. The second best is the bacon wrapped asparagus. The way Japanese barbecue their meat is good without any black burning parts. Their Gomoku-Kamameshi kettle pot rice is just average and I would think Malaysian claypot rice taste better. It could be I have not chosen their best kamameshi. I just get to know that their signature kettle pot rice is chicken.

Long-standing yakitori bar in Ginza. Quick service, and good food

Takes some time to find it but when you do a great place. We ordered both then rice and the yakiotri - the yakitori is delicious. The rice dish is also good and comes with some great miso. Nice place not one of my favourites but still great food.

This is a wonderful yakitori restaurant. Very tasty food from an extensive menu. Do not be discouraged if there is a long line; it moves fast. Kind of hard to find because it is located in a small alleyway, use your smartphone map app. Prices are reasonable but not inexpensive (that is Ginza for you).

Food was amazing. One of our servers seemed annoyed that we were there despite our best efforts to be polite. He glared at us the whole time and didn't say a word.

Quite average taste for a renowned place.

Excellent Yakitori, outstanding techniques on grilling and brilliant seasoning. This place is certainly one of the most properest and decent spot for Japanese Yakitori!!!!

A really nice place to get good yakitori and yakimeshi in Ginza. The place is a bit hidden in the alley, so make sure to look up for the sign. Make sure to come early as this place fills up fast. Lines started building even before the restaurant open, so make sure to arrive early with a full party if you don't want to encounter delay. The food itself was really good, We ordered a few yakitori, two bowls of yakimesti and a salad. Everything was delicious. The price is a bit on the expensive side, but it's understandable considering it's located in Ginza. All in all it's a good place to experience Japanese food aside from your usual, known Japanese food like ramen or sushi. Definitely recommended!

Came here with my parent, wife and 2 years old kid for dinner, the entrance to the place is through a small alley and then go to basement. The service was great and very kind. English menu available. Cash only. Delicious Yakitori and Kamameshi.

Good & affordable Japanese pot rice (kamameshi - try the abalone or clam abductor muscle or, if lucky seasonal oyster rice Oct - Mar only) & yakitori during lunch; English menu / speaking staff avail, restaurant located in B1 (access thru small alley between buildings). Went around 1230h, queue of 10 was there (mostly locals). When we left, queue was > 20. Funny there is a New Torigin just beside the original selling similar items.

Delicious and fresh, this shop which is at the basement from a small alley in the busy district of Ginza can get a bit crowded, so expect a bit of a wait time if you happened to be there at peak hours.Ordered quite a bit of food (the attached photo wasn't all we ordered) with my friend and each of us ended up paying about ΓΒ₯1,500 which is not the cheapest Yakitori place around, but definitely worth that extra yen for quality food!Remember to order the bacon-wrapped asparagus and the shiitake with chicken!

An every-time-visit in TokyoConsistent quality of yakitori, sometimes need to wait in queue.

The grilled chicken stick was really really good.

Went there the first time at around 8 at night and everything was sold out! The following day we went around 3pm after lunch. Skewers were reasonable price at around 800 yen for 5. Some of the items were done medium rare, but I never had chicken this amazing.
Austin Kwok Wing Lau
We went there for grilled stick. They are okay but the highlights were Kani-Kamashi and Kaki-Kamameshi. Both were so good that out of our expectations.

To Yakitori fans, definitely visit this place. Try all of them if you can, they're awesome.

Great place to eat yakitori & japanese rice in the middle of Ginza.. Reasonable price & very delicious.. to avoid long queue, go there earlier before dinner time..

Good food at a reasonable price. This Yakitori (chicken skewers) is a great place to have a quick lunch or dinner while you are shopping in the Ginza. There is frequently a line but it moves fast. English menus with helpful staff and good food make for good place to eat when in this notoriously expensive area. We sat at the bar and got a first hand look at the making of these tasty morsels and how they are grilled. We enjoyed all of the various chicken skewers and their specialty a rice dish steamed in traditional wooden pots. Well worth the cost of the meal unlike so many other overly priced restaurants in the area. Lots of locals so we didn't feel like we were in a tourist trap.

very good yakitori . We ordered few skewers skin, breast, shishito peppers are the best among them all. The rice dish was okay, on the menu they mention used the best quality Dashi stock to cook but the rice itself is not the good quality you can easily get in the supermarket. Over all good vibe and reasonable price.

This restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner and has an English menu for those who can't read Kanji, however not everything is on the English menu. One thing that isn't on the translated menu is the lunch special. You get the starters and yakitori seen in the photo along with a kamameshi bowl. Kamameshi is rice and meat and/or veggies cooked with a broth in a metal bowl. You let it sit for a couple of minutes then stir. This gives you some crispy rice mixed in which adds a nice texture. The food here is amazing and I highly recommend stopping by.

Great Yakitori but average rice. Stick to the chicken it is delicious. English menu and waiters.

Food is good with BBQ taste, but the clerk cannot understand English well so we were not able to find a non smoking area. If you are sensitive with the smoking then donΓ’β¬β’t choose here for the dinner.
Sendy Greti
Good yakitori but I don't find it special. Ok to satisfy your craving for yakitori. Cash only though.
JIA HE SONG
Outstanding chicken grills, the steamed rice were just okay, cash only place.

I thought I could never get full with yakitori and without burning my wallet
thana jotibundhit
Excellent yakitori expect 15-30 mins wait for table
Syarif Hidayat Official
Kamameshi, a very well known japan traditional dishes made of cooked rice mixed with many ingredience such as fishes, and chicken
Pavit Uthaisangchai
Good yakitori restaurant. Beware of long queues during regular dinner hours. Take only take cash (no credit cards). Love their grilled vegetables and chicken wings. Unfortunately, they do not separate smoking diners from non-smokers, so it's a big of a luck whether you sit next to smokers or not. English menu available.
